Weather Underground Launches the Ultimate Weather Application for the iPhone and Android
The Highly Anticipated App Provides the Most Localized Weather Data From the Company's Network of Over 22,000 Personal Weather Stations
SAN FRANCISCO, December 19, 2011 - Weather Underground, the world's first online weather service, announced today the availability of its new application for the iPhone, with the Android version set to launch within 24 hours. Available now for free in the iTunes Store, this comprehensive weather app ingests data from the company's network of over 22,000 personal weather stations, therefore providing the most localized weather conditions across the world.
The app also incorporates Weather Underground's acclaimed interactive weather map (WunderMap®) that allows users to select from different weather overlays including current conditions from the company's neighborhood stations, animated radar, satellite, webcams and severe weather updates.
